The Finance Directorate offices are located in Bronte
House and Annexe which are situated on the St George's main site. The
directorate employs under 100 individuals who work under the direction of the
Finance Director and the Senior Management Team, which consists of the Deputy
Finance Director, Financial Controller, Chief Internal Auditor, Chief Management
Accountant, Income Controller.
Overall the department employs around sixteen CCAB qualified accountants
and has twenty members of staff currently involved in its accountancy training
programme. As the Directorate has a large commitment to staff training it
rarely advertises for staff other than at the entrant level and follows an
active policy of internal promotion from within its own ranks for nearly all of
its more senior staff positions. We also offer one year placement
opportunities to university students. The Finance Directorate offers a full
range of financial services to the Trust ranging from the provision of payroll
services to the provision of a full management and financial accounting service.
In addition the Directorate has a large 'Not For Profit' Accounting Section as
it provides an efficient accounting service to St George's Hospital Charity an
independent hospital charity.
