Internal audit work provides an ideal preparation for a
future career at a senior level in the NHS, in either Finance or general
management. The audit team undertakes detailed examination, evaluation and
testing of financial and management systems throughout the Trust and other
consortium members in order to provide assurance on internal control. The work
of the Audit Section while independent and objective is always constructive.
Audit work involves interviewing staff at all levels and in all
departments.
The work we undertake provides an opportunity to
contribute to continuous improvement in the Trust's operations. Training
is provided on audit principles, techniques and inter-personal skills, so if you
have good analytical skills Internal Audit may be the place for you.
